Amish Tours of Harmony

Tour through Minnesota’s largest Old Order Amish community with the region’s premier Amish Tour Company. Amish Tours of Harmony has been offering quality tours for over thirty years of the Harmony-Canton Amish community. Let our experienced guides tell you about Amish culture, history and customs as you stop at shops that offer Amish furniture, baked goods, baskets, quilts and much more!

Experience Amish Life

As we travel through this beautiful rolling countryside, Amish farmers may be seen working in the fields with horses and horse-drawn equipment, and their buggies may be seen tied to hitching posts in town. You will be fascinated by the Amish way of dress and by the children swinging their lunch baskets as they stroll home from school.

Our knowledgeable tour guides can answer all of your questions about the Amish way of life. Travel with us through pastoral settings in the comfort of your own vehicle or on one of our air conditioned mini busses. Or, contact us about booking a tour guide for your bus group. An Amish tour is a great day trip destination for a school group, senior group or community education trip!

Tour Information

Tour transportation includes using our comfortable vans, your personal car, or even large bus group tours!

Where will we stop on the tour?
On a typical tour we stop at 5 or 6 Amish farms. We can customize a tour if you have a specific interest such as baskets or furniture.

How long does the tour last?
The tour lasts about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Car tours (where our guide rides with you in your vehicle) can accommodate longer or shorter tours.

What kind of items are available to buy?
The Amish have little retail stores on their farms with crafts they make such as quilts, baskets, woodworking, baked goods, etc. The Amish will accept cash or check.

If we buy a large item, can we ship it?
The Amish can make arrangements to ship your purchase anywhere in the U.S.

Are there bathroom stops on the tour?
We encourage you to use the restroom before the tour; however, there are a couple of stops with outdoor facilities if needed.

Can we take pictures?
The Amish do not allow any pictures of themselves. Some of the Amish will allow pictures on the farm and others do not. Your guide will let you know when you can take pictures.

Is there a dress code that should be followed?
Casual wear like jeans and shorts are fine.
