From Tree to Table: Discover the sweet tradition of maple syrup making at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center! Participants will learn the full process of making maple syrup.
Participants will learn how to identify and tap maple trees and see how to collect the sap. You will watch how it’s boiled down into syrup. You will get hands-on experience collecting sap and gain an understanding of the history and science behind this natural treat.
2 sessions available: Session 1 – Saturday, March 21 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm
Session 2 – Saturday, March 28 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm
Registration begins online on Tuesday, February 9th starting at 9 am. Cost: $10 adults/$4 kids (under 3 is free and do not need to be registered)
