Come experience Glensheen at Christmas! A 39 room mansion on the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, Glensheen is decked out for the holidays each November and December. See it for yourself November 14 to January 3.
A tour of Glensheen at Christmas is a tradition for many. Each room is carefully decorated for elegance and to help augment the home’s features. This year’s theme will focus on the Congdon family travels across the globe. See original ornaments and artifacts from the family that they decorated with each year. An added bonus for children and adults alike is the Elf I-Spy. Search the home for 25 naughty elves that like to cause mischief for our staff. Not only will you explore this magnificent home but plan time to see the estate grounds. With wooded areas, a designated trout stream, and lakefront, there is so much to explore on a visit to Glensheen. Grab a pair of snowshoes and hike across the grounds to explore more!
For our group tour experience, we offer the Classic Tour route as either self-guided or guided (depending on staffing availability). Glensheen is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm with the mansion, gift shop, and grounds closing at 5 pm. Our Christmas season runs from Friday, November 14 to Saturday, January 3. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
