Camp St. Croix

Established in 1909, Camp St. Croix spans 400 acres of woodlands, prairies, gardens, and pine-covered bluffs overlooking the stunning St. Croix River National Scenic Riverway. With scenic trails, dynamic camp programming, and outstanding facilities, it’s an ideal destination for kids, teens, families, adults, and organizations to connect with nature and each other.

Our engaging classes—ranging from Outdoor Survival to Aquatic Ecology—blend science, adventure, and collaboration in a supportive environment. We emphasize team building and personal growth through interactive initiatives, problem-solving activities, and challenge course elements, including high ropes, that push students to communicate effectively, build trust, and develop leadership skills. Whether participating in custom day or overnight experiences, students gain lifelong skills, deepen their environmental awareness, and create lasting memories. During a service-learning field trip students will: 

• Experience giving back by volunteering on the Farm at Camp St. Croix  

• Enjoy a scavenger hunt around camp’s north property 

• Learn ecological concepts and practicing teambuilding exercises 

• Help children and families in our community have access to fresh, local, nutritious food 

In partnership with River Valley Charities, the Farm at Camp St. Croix grows nearly 7000 pounds of food annually, which is donated to kids and families facing food insecurity in the St. Croix Valley.
