Alive & Kickin has embarked on their 16th season: “A&K Across the USA” highlights American artists from across the country in all its diversity and uniqueness, in its beauty and in the icky, ugly friction and fights that have brought us to, and will carry us through today. With music by Neil Diamond, Journey, Garth Brooks, Aerosmith, Semisonic, Whitney Houston, Cher, and more, Alive & Kickin’s ensemble and rockin’ band are about to take you on a cross-country ride for the ages. Get ready to hear the songs and stories of this well-traveled group of rockstars.

Through songs and stories, the cast of our Twin Cities Premier Senior Rock Ensemble electrifies audiences across Minnesota and beyond. Defying stereotypes, they are living out their rockstar dreams, facing fears and life’s challenges, learning and connecting, and changing minds about what it means to grow up and “old.” Singing contemporary rock & roll, pop, gospel, blues…and sharing stories from their own lives, they say “this is who I am,” amplifying their voice … and inspiring you to find yours!

Alive & Kickin is home to the premier senior rock group that brings music, stories, inspiration and joy to audiences in the Twin Cities and beyond.

The A&K Senior Rock Ensemble performs across the Twin Cities region and into greater Minnesota, reaching thousands of folks of all ages. Our signature show in June is a full theatrical production complete with live band, costumes and rock-concert energy, with our cast members performing to enthusiastic sold-out houses.

SingOUT! – Sing. Socialize. Learn. Enjoy. 
In these sing-a-longs we play everything from classic favorites to challenging new music. In these high energy, spirit-lifting sessions, participants can meet new friends and reconnect with their love of music. Gather your kiddo’s for an intergenerational experience. We are all-abilities-friendly.

Lifelong Learning – Classes to Enrich Your Creative Aging Experience
Whether you’re looking for something new to learn, aiming to perform, or merely to polish your skills, we offer group classes and workshops designed to help all-age adults age creatively. Connect with others through improv or learn to tell your story. Learn how to read music, write a song, or care for your voice as you age. These fun, affordable, accessible classes, led by professional artists and instructors, will build skills, uplift, stimulate and connect you with a community of like-minded people.

Music & Mentorship – Youth Music Exchanges Benefit Everyone
Members of our Senior Rock Ensemble join youth in their choirs and theater programs to share music and stories, create and perform, and learn from one another. These intergenerational exchanges are designed to bridge divides and create belonging, reframe aging for a younger generation, and increase empathy. They help address an epidemic of loneliness and isolation experienced by people of all ages.

Through creativity, music, and mentorship lifelong friendships are formed and everyone comes away inspired and feeling valued.
