This concert continues the Year of the Piano and begins the ASO’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Osip Nikiforov, a rising star in the piano world, will perform American composer Florence Price’s Piano Concerto. The ASO will also perform music by American Margaret Bonds and  British composer Ethyl Smith. The winner of numerous awards, Nikiforov has been called “A musically gifted pianist with intelligence and great technique.”
