COMPAS – Hands-On Creative Experiences

Be inspired! Get messy! Make something unforgettable! COMPAS (compas.org) is a nonprofit arts education organization that offers hands-on creative experiences in literary, visual, and performing arts to schools and community spaces across Minnesota. Our programs invite people to watch, make, and take part through performances, workshops, residencies, mentorships, and professional development.

Creative Experiences for All Ages, Abilities & Communities.

Our work takes place in:

elementary, middle, and high schools,
older adult communities (55+)
community centers, recreation spaces, and festivals,
libraries & museums,
social service environments,
healthcare & wellness settings,
justice-involved programs,
almost anywhere else people congregate

Led by Professional Teaching Artists.

COMPAS programs are led by professional Teaching Artists who are working artists and experienced educators. They meet people where they are and guide them through creative processes that make art engaging, meaningful, and approachable. All COMPAS Teaching Artists complete background checks prior to working with participants. COMPAS is fully insured for the programs and services we provide, supporting safe, well-managed experiences in schools and community settings.
