Looking for a “cool”, but not “cold” eagle experience to enjoy this winter? They have you covered at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN with daily Behind the Scenes small group tours!
National Eagle Center Behind the Scenes tours are 45-minute experiences designed for groups of up to six people and provide guests with a one-of-a-kind learning opportunity. Led by one of the Center’s avian care experts, attendees receive a front row seat to observe what goes into the daily care and training of the Ambassadors at the Center. Plus, they get to meet the Center’s only non-eagle resident – Hollywood, the Red-tailed Hawk in her private residence!
Guests can ask any questions they have about training, the education required to become an expert in the field, raptor behavior, raptor health and wellness, and much more! These experiences also include a fun hands-on element where attendees get to build custom enrichment (toys) for the Ambassador of their choice and then watch them enjoy ripping and shredding it to get the food hidden inside!
Behind the Scenes tours are perfect for adult learning groups, active seniors, families, and lifelong learners. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
Behind the Scenes tours are offered daily at 2:15 p.m. or by appointment. Tours are $75 for non-members and $60 for members. Daily tours do fill in advance, so reserving spots in advance is recommended.
