Visit Minnesota’s beautifully restored 1905 capitol and learn about the government process while taking in its incredible architecture, art, and history. Legislators are notified to meet reserved student groups after the tour, if their schedules allow.

Explore the capitol’s history, art, and architecture on this 45 minute tour. Students visit the chambers where government decisions are made. Weather permitting, visit the quadriga (golden horses) on the roof of the capitol. Reservations are required for groups of 15 or more, and must be made two weeks in advance.
The Minnesota State Capitol is a location of the Minnesota Historical Society. Bring your students to the places where history was made and where it is preserved.
